What are they trying to hide
We encourage everyone to ask questions. If you don't, then you might be signing up for the wrong reason. We gladly will accept an open debate or disscussion. WE HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE.

As you know some of the information in their letter is misleading or completely false.
In the letter it says that "by signing one (authorization card) you are giving away your rights to speak for yourself." Nothing could be more wrong. In fact you are asserting your right to speak for yourself. As things are now, Office Depot is not obligated in any way to let you "speak for yourself." With a union they have to listen to you.
The letter says that "a union is attempting to interest some of our associates into joining their group." The truth is, "associates" are the ones who are doing this. Ask yourself, Have you seen "the union" trying to talk to you? No. You have seen other associates trying to "interest" you.

Many statements in the letter are just plain false.
"Signing such a card is similar to signing a blank check."
FALSE
"It's power of attorney."
FALSE
"By signing one, you are giving away your rights to speak for yourself.."
FALSE
"Employees could become represented by a union without having any choice in the matter"
FALSE
